It is the part of our academic programme the department has organized a special lecture programme held on 05.03.2021 Friday on “The Importance of Post Graduation”, Prof.Dr.U.Rajan Dean, School of Commerce and Management PRIST University Thanjavur has been invited as a special speaker for the programme. The final year B.Com and M.Com students has actively participated the programmme, more than 200 students of commerce department has enriched their knowledge by this programme. The speaker has addressed with the students about the essentials of post graduation now a days, how the students can acquire their knowledge related to the business and commerce in the present competitive environment. Also he addressed the students regarding the importance of higher education and employment opportunities both central and state agencies, students also interacted with the guest speaker and enhanced their subject oriented doubts with good manner. Most respected Secretary and Correspondent Rev.Fr.Dr.S.Sebastian Periannan, respected Rev.Fr.Dr.S.Arockiadoss Administrator and respected Principal Dr.P.Philominathan has felicitated the programme with graceful. The department of commerce staff and students has organized the programme in well and good manner. The student has given a wonderful interaction and has given positive feedback about the programme.

The department has organized a motivational programme on “You Can Sell Yourself” for the students of final year UG and First year UG of the commerce department, Respected Prof.Dr.R.Saminathan Ph.D Associate Professor department of Commerce, Government Arts and Science College Lalgudi Trichirappalli has interacted with the students, he has given some useful and informative tips to the students to lead their life with potential way. He has address about the eminent personality as an example to develop their future life. He has advised the student how to sell themselves with good price; it means how the students can equip their basic knowledge towards the prosperity of the future career. Students can improve their subject skills with soft skills to enhance the wisdom, he trigger the students about the diversifications of career development and how to overcome the unemployment. More than 150 students of the department has actively was participating the above programmme and contributed their portion by clarifying their doubts in a gentle way. Dr.V.Karthikeyan Asst.professor has given welcome address, Dr.V.Mahesh delivered the chief guest introduction and Prof.B.Shela has given vote of thanks on the programme.
